Hints
Take Maria over to her friend under the railroad tracks, where she will be informed of a great party near the docks.  She’ll ask you to take her there.  As you’re waiting outside this party, however, you’ll hear of a drug bust.  Cops will come, and a firefight will begin.  All of the partiers will come running out, the last of whom is Maria.  She’ll jump into your car (if you prefer a faster car, there are several parked in the area; get one before the bust and after dropping her off), and you have to go back to her mansion.  Park in the garage, and the cops will be off your tail.

Cutting the Grass

Hints

Curly, the snitch in the organization, will get in a taxi and go to the docks.  Because you know his destination, you don’t have to follow too closely, just make sure you don’t fall too far behind.  Watch the spookometer on the top right part of the screen; if this becomes full, you will fail the mission.  Stay 20 or 30 car lengths behind the taxi he’s in, always being sure where it is.  When you arrive at the docks, you will see a cutscene, with Curly talking with some members of a rival gang about the internal affairs of the Mafia.  They will leave, you will regain control of your car, and will have to kill him.  He has a shotgun, probably better than any gun you have, so run him over.  Don’t forget to take the shotgun.

Hints

This is hardly a mission, though it is counted as one.  You have to go to 8-Ball’s Autoyard with $100000.  If you do not have this money yet, do vigilante or taxi missions, or just start killing people.  Once you get the money, you should save.  Chances are you’ll be doing the mission a couple of times, and you probably won’t want to dish out $100000 per attempt.

Bomb da Base- Act 2

Hints
This is the hardest mission yet.  Drive with 8-Ball to the docks and park in the blue marker.  He will jump out, saying that he’ll run on the boat once you fire the first shot.  You have ample time to set up in the perfect sniping spot, so make sure you are ready and will take the first guy out- you don’t want too many shots on anyone, especially the first guy.  Run towards the ship and turn right, going up the stairs on the building opposite it.  You can go onto the roof, and should go to the side closest to the boat.  First, take out the two guys standing near the platform, making each shot count.  Next, shoot the red barrels on the red side of the boat, which will explode, and then kill anyone else on that side.  Then start on the right, working your way from the guys near the platform to the guys farther away.  At this point 8-Ball will probably be on the ship; he’ll wait and hide while you deal with some people, but not all, so work quickly.  A cutscene will show 8-Ball, bandaged hands and all, running from the sinking boat, and a $125000 payday will be on the way.

Hints

The goal of this mission is not to do what Salvatore says.  As you approach the car that you’re supposed to deal with, you’ll see that Maria wants to talk with you.  Go meet her, but don’t get in the car- it’s rigged with a bomb.  Maria will explain that Salvatore wants you dead, and will offer you safety in Staunton Island- Level 2.  Go in the boat with her and take it to your new home.
